Today was Angstrom's first birthday. There'll be a party on Sunday. But the family gave him a few gifts today. First was this cart of blocks, with a handle, sort of like a walker for little kids. He started walking behind it immediately.
Jesse liked this shirt, but it won't fit him.
Angstrom liked his soccer ball; I wasn't able to get any pictures of him kicking it.
He wasn't sure whether his was a phone or a xylophone.
We finished the evening off with another wonderful dinner.
We're in Pittsburgh for Angstrom's first birthday (more on that later). Meanwhile, Jesse was doing a demo for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank this afternoon, not far from his house, so we and Angstrom dropped by to watch for a few minutes. The temperature here is 93 degrees, and Jesse's standing in the sun over a hot cast iron skillet.
she was very attentive during the children's message, but she wasn't comfortable enough to join the other kids on the chancel steps. Afterward she enjoyed the refreshments available at coffee hour.
