Round Hill Farm

Angstrom's day care had a field trip to Round Hill Park & Exhibit Farm on Saturday, and CL and I went along to observe.

Or, in Jesse's case, to play.

Throwing bread to the ducks (sorry, no duck pictures).

On the way back, we stopped briefly at Round Hill Presbyterian Church and Cemetery.

Pittsburgh Tourists

We spent Friday with Angstrom in Pittsburgh.  The big activity of the day was a ride on the Duquesne Incline.  It was a bargain:  0ver 65 and under 6 rode free.

Near the top of the Incline is this statue depicting a 1770 meeting between George Washington and Seneca leader Guyasuta.

In the evening we all went to the Church Works Brewery for dinner.

Lexington Addendum

A few pictures I forgot to post yesterday:

First Stonewall Jackson at his tomb in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery

and on the VMI campus.

Also in the cemetery was this stone.  I have no idea who he was, where he was, or what he did. but I'm sure he had to do it.

Keowee Sailing Club

Last Sunday, my cousin Marty invited a bunch of us to go sailing on his sailboat on Lake Keowee in Seneca, SC.   It was a beautiful day, except for the lack of consistent wind.
