Easter

Jeremy, Amanda, and Maggie came for the weekend. On Saturday CL and I took Maggie for a walk in Forest Park.

And we all went to Trinity on Easter.

Another adoring fan.

J, A, and M after church.

Spring Cleaning

Last Friday it got into the 70's here, so I decided it was time to remove the winter tires from Mr. Toad and put the HP summer tires back on.

And then he got his first real, that is, not from a car wash, cleaning in the past five months.

He is very happy.

More Swinging

Peekaboo (before today's walk)

Today we stopped by a small playground in front of the Cambridge library:

(which kid is having more fun here?)

Another Walk

Maggie napped, and I shot a couple pictures during our walk this afternoon.

Harvard

The rains are over in Massachusetts, and we're in Cambridge again, so we went on a walk with Maggie.

It appears that spring is here.

We walked through the Harvard campus for a while,

and finally found our way to berryline,

where we got some frozen yogurt, which Maggie loved.

Mealtime with Maggie

Then playtime

and a bedtime story.

Reading with Maggie

More time in Cambridge watching Maggie grow.

(this one's for you, Bev)

Charlottesville, VA/Guthrie Family

We drove down to Bumpass, VA to visit John & Bev last Wednesday and returned home today. The reason for the timing of the trip was the Guthrie Family concert in Charlottesville on Saturday night.

The Paramount Theatre before the concert:

Arlo:

Sara Lee Guthrie (Arlo's youngest) and husband Johnny Irion:

and their elder daughter Olivia:

and their younger daughter Sophia:

Finally, CL, Bev and John after the concert.

Check back in a few days -- I'll try to post images of more Guthries.

St. Joseph/Emmanuel Basketball

Thursday evening we went down to West Hartford, CT to Saint Joseph College to watch their basketball game with Emmanuel College.

The Emmanuel team before the game:

Two shots of CL's former student Tiaunna, who had much more playing time than the last game we went to. We enjoyed watching Emmanuel win and T score 15 points.

After working in Hartford for the past 37 years, I didn't know where the campus was and had never seen it, so on the way home I stopped to take this shot of what appeared to be the administration building.

Friday Dinner

Amanda's parents joined us for dinner last night, so Maggie had all four of her grandparents admiring her at once.

More Maggie

We're babysitting again:

Wesleyan University

Wednesday evening we drove down to Middletown, CT to Wesleyan University, where the Emmanuel College women's basketball team was playing.

One of CL's all-time favorite students is a freshman on the Emmanuel College team. She didn't get much playing time, but at least we got to say hello after the game.

Emmanuel won, by the way.
