2018 Road Trip - Joshua Tree National Park

When we arrived at the ranger station at Joshua Tree National Park, the place was in a total uproar because the Dead Man's Fingers cactus was blooming.  This supposedly occurs only once a year, for only a couple hours.

Joshua Tree Park has rocks, cacti, and Joshua trees, which look as if Dr. Seuss designed them.

These are out of order - two cameras with different file numbering systems.  They're a ways East, somewhere in the desert near the AZ - CA border.

Not in Park; part of other sequence to East

One and only (real) Road Runner we've ever seen

The road West from 29 Palms.  It's hard to see, but it has many switchbacks and steep hills.  And everyone I came up behind pulled over and let me by.  Great fun!
