We visited Cave Hill National Cemetery yesterday. While we found graves in several parts of the cemetery, the main purpose of the visit was to see the national part, which has a large section of Civil War graves. Among the soldiers there is Samuel Rule Sharrard, my great grand father and a Captain in the 21st Kentucky Infantry.
